PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a forged suspension member enabling weight reduction of the suspension member after hot forging.SOLUTION: A suspension member is manufactured from a metal material by hot forging and has a configuration in which regions 10, 11 of the outer periphery, which include outer surfaces 5a, 5b, 6a, 6b along draft and burrs 5c, 6c of ribs 5, 6 as portions other than the parts of the suspension member to be joined to other members, are removed by machine work.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
