PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication apparatus installation position determining system and determining device capable of easing the restriction of an installation position of a device in a vehicle.SOLUTION: An ECU 10 transmits an LF signal from an LF antenna 11 to a sensor unit 30. The sensor unit 30 receives the LF signal from the ECU 10, and detects the signal strength of the received LF signal. The sensor unit 30 transmits information including the signal strength of the detected LF signal to the ECU 10 by a UHF signal. The ECU 10 receives the UHF signal from the sensor unit 30, and detects the signal strength of the UHF signal. For example, the ECU 10 determines on which wheel 2 the sensor unit 30 transmitting the UHF signal is provided, about a lateral direction of a vehicle body of a vehicle 1, on the basis of the signal strength of the LE signal received by each sensor unit 30. The ECU 10 makes determination about a fore-and-aft direction of the vehicle body on the basis of the signal strength of the UHF signal from each sensor unit 30 which the ECU itself receives.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】車両内における装置の設置位置の制限を緩和することができる通信器装着位置判定システム及び判定装置を提供する。【解決手段】ECU10はLFアンテナ11からLF信号をセンサユニット30へ送信する。センサユニット30はECU10からのLF信号を受信し、受信したLF信号の信号強度を検出する。センサユニット30は検出したLF信号の信号強度を含む情報をUHF信号にてECU10へ送信する。ECU10はセンサユニット30からのUHF信号を受信すると共に、UHF信号の信号強度を検出する。例えばECU10は、各センサユニット30が受信したLF信号の信号強度に基づいて、車両1の車体の左右方向に関し、UHF信号の送信元のセンサユニット30がいずれの車輪2に設けられているかの判定を行う。またECU10は自らが受信した各センサユニット30からのUHF信号の信号強度に基づいて、車体の前後方向に関する判定を行う。【選択図】図1
