PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an omnidirectionally-movable wheel mechanism that can move in all directions of forward, backward, leftward, rightward and oblique directions without changing the direction of a vehicle body and can ride over a step for movement in all directions.SOLUTION: An omnidirectionally-movable wheel mechanism comprises two or more arcuate units in each of which plural rollers are installed along an arcuate curve of an arcuate metal fitting such that rotation directions of the rollers are in the longitudinal direction of the arcuate metal fitting, unit holding shafts, and a wheel base part supporting the unit holding shafts. The two or more arcuate units are respectively held by the corresponding unit holding shafts while being circumferentially shifted with respect to the wheel base part from each other and form a wheel. Each of the arcuate units is installed to the unit holding shaft such that the longitudinal direction of the arcuate metal fitting is inclined relative to the rotation direction of the wheel, and is installed slidably to the unit holding shaft. A spring is installed to the unit holding shaft such that when the arcuate unit slides to the unit holding shaft, reaction force by the spring acts.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】車体の向きを変えることなく前後左右斜め方向という全方向の移動ができ、全方向の移動に対して段差を乗り越えることができる、全方向移動車輪機構を提供する。【解決手段】複数のローラーを、ローラーの回転方向が弓形金具の長手方向となるように、弓形金具の弓形の曲線に沿って取り付けた、2つ以上の弓形ユニットと、ユニット保持軸と、ユニット保持軸を支持する車輪基部と、を備え、2つ以上の弓形ユニットが、それぞれ、対応するユニット保持軸によって、車輪基部の周方向に相互にずらして保持されて、車輪を構成し、弓形ユニットの各々を、ユニット保持軸に、弓形金具の長手方向が車輪の回転方向に対して傾斜するように取り付け、また、ユニット保持軸に対して摺動可能に取り付け、ユニット保持軸には、弓形ユニットがユニット保持軸に対して摺動すると、ばねによる反力が作用するように、ばねを取り付ける。【選択図】図1
