PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detection device, a detection method and a detection program capable of detecting position of an occupant.SOLUTION: A detection device 200 registers a relative positional relationship between a head part and a part of an occupant body as a boundary shape in an area through which a specific part passes in a first positional relationship information 224, and registers a relative positional relationship between the head part of the occupant and the boundary shape as the body part in a person area in a second positional relationship information 225. The detection device subsequently generates a shape of an occupant by combining the boundary shapes based on a relative position between the head part and the boundary shape registered in the first positional relationship information 224 and the second positional relationship information 225 and estimates the position of the occupant.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
