PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control the movement of a train so as to stop at a stop position between a first position and a second position.SOLUTION: A method for controlling movement of a train searches constraint on the speed of the train to the position of the train which forms a feasible area in a condition of a moving train so that an upper curved line defining the boundary of the feasible area has zero speed only at a second position, and a lower part curved line defining the boundary of the feasible area has zero speed only at a first position. And next, the method controls movement of a train under the condition of these constraints.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2B
