PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a crime prevention characteristic against a relay attack without complicating processing of a vehicle controller and a portable apparatus.SOLUTION: A portable apparatus 20 has a signal reception area E1, a region in which when the portable apparatus 20 has accessed a position having a distance D1 from any one of a plurality of LF transmission units 2 to 6 provided on a vehicle 30, only a response request signal from the LF transmission unit is capable of being received, and when having accessed a position having a distance shorter than the distance D1, response request signals from the LF transmission unit and another LF transmission unit are capable of being received. When the portable apparatus 20 has received only a response request signal from one of the LF transmission units 2 to 6 in a predetermined time, and the response request signal's RSSI value is equal to or larger than a threshold; the portable apparatus inhibits control of the vehicle 30 (for example, locking or unlocking of a door or start of an engine).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
