PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently manufacture an assembly obtained by combining a power roller, a trunnion, and a beam of a toroidal continuously variable transmission.SOLUTION: A toroidal continuously variable transmission includes an input disc and an output disc disposed in opposition to each other, a power roller tiltably held between the input disc and the output disc and transmitting rotational driving force of the input disc to the output disc with a transmission ratio according to a tilt angle, a trunnion having a base portion on which the power roller is rotatably mounted, and a pair of side wall portions vertically disposed on the base portion in opposition to a peripheral face of the power roller at both sides in the axial direction of a tilting shaft of the power roller, and a beam extended in an axial direction of the tilting shaft at a side opposite to the base portion when observed from the power roller, and mounted on the pair of side wall portions. The beam has a contact portion kept into contact with an end face of one side wall portion of the pair of side wall portions, and a restricting portion for restricting displacement in an approaching direction of the pair of side wall portions by being kept into contact with the side face of the side wall portion opposed to the peripheral face of the power roller.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
