PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a vehicle behavior to respond to a switching manipulation while ensuring stability in the behavior of a vehicle when a manipulation of switching traveling modes is performed during turning of the vehicle, and thus prevent a driver from having a strange feeling.SOLUTION: When turning state decision means 51 decides that a vehicle is in a turning state, if a traveling mode selection switch 54 is changed from selection of a first mode to selection of a second mode (that is, a traveling mode in which the gear ratio of an automatic transmission 42 is larger and an output torque of an engine 32 is higher than they are in the first mode), vehicle control means 2 increases the output torque of the engine along with the manipulation, which is performed on the traveling mode selection switch, so that the output torque of the engine gets higher than the output torque attained when the first mode is selected. In addition, the automatic transmission is set to a restriction mode in which the gear ratio of the automatic transmission can be changed along with the manipulation performed on the traveling mode selection switch.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5

    【課題】車両の旋回中に走行モードの切り替え操作が行われたときに、車両の挙動安定性を確保しながら、切り替え操作に対して車両挙動を応答させることにより、運転者が違和感を持つことを防止する。【解決手段】車両制御手段2は、旋回状態判定手段51が、車両が旋回状態にあることを判定している最中でかつ、走行モード選択スイッチ54が、第1モードから第2モード(つまり、第1モードよりも、自動変速機42の変速比が大きくなりかつ、エンジン32の出力トルクが高くなるように設定された走行モード)の選択に切り替えられたときには、エンジンの出力トルクが第1モードの選択時の出力トルクよりも高くなるように、走行モード選択スイッチの操作に伴いエンジンの出力トルクを増大させる。また、自動変速機については、走行モード選択スイッチの操作に伴い自動変速機の変速比が変更されることを抑制する制限モードにする。【選択図】図5
