PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pedestrian collision detection device which reduces temperature dependence to stabilize the operation.SOLUTION: A pedestrian collision detection device 11 of the invention includes: a bumper support member 18; a foam material 20 disposed on a front surface of the bumper support member 18; and a duct 38 which guides air existing outside of a vehicle 10 into a hollow part 21 of the foam material 20. The structure allows outer air to flow into the hollow part 21 of the foam material 20 when the vehicle 10 travels. Thus, a temperature of the foam material 20 is decreased to allow the pedestrian collision detection device 11 to properly work.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
