PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery protection device capable of inhibiting failure of a battery by checking validity of a calculated value of a battery charge amount and preventing insufficient charging of the battery when reliability of the calculated value is low.SOLUTION: A control SOC calculated in a battery ECU (22), a first estimation SOC estimated in a first estimation part (30) on the basis of electric current between a motor (3) and an electric power converter (10), and a second estimation SOC estimated in a second estimation part (31) on the basis of electric current between a battery (11) and the electric power converter (10) are sent to a protection control part. The protection control part (32) compares the control SOC and the two estimation SOCs and when the control SOC is higher than the two estimation SOCs by a predetermined amount or more, limits discharge from the battery (11).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】バッテリ充電量の計算値の妥当性を確認し、計算値の信頼性が低いときにはバッテリの充電不足を防止し、バッテリの不具合を抑制することのできるバッテリ保護装置を提供すること。【解決手段】バッテリECU22において算出される制御用SOCと、第1推定部(30)においてモータ(3)と電力変換器(10)間の電流に基づき推定される第1推定SOCと、第2推定部(31)においてバッテリ(11)と電力変換器(10)間の電流に基づき推定される第2推定SOCとが保護制御部に送られ、保護制御部(32)が制御用SOCと、2つの推定SOCとを比較して、制御用SOCが2つの推定SOCよりも所定量以上高い場合には、バッテリ11からの放電を制限する。【選択図】図1
