PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular steering device whose structure becomes simple, whose shaft direction length becomes short, which becomes cheap and which can generate friction torque.SOLUTION: In a vehicular steering device, a rotation limit mechanism 20 has: an annular groove 33 formed on one of a rotatable element 30 and an unrotatable element 40; an engaging member 21 arranged on the other so as to slide with the annular groove 33; a stopper member 64 capable of coming into contact with the engaging member 21; a driving device for moving the stopper member; and a mechanism for driving the driving device and moving the stopper member to the position to fit in the annular groove 33. At least one part of the engaging member 21 is a friction part for coming into contact with the annular groove 33, and by pressing the friction part to the annular groove 33 by a pressing device, the friction torque is generated at the time of relative rotation between one of the rotatable element 30 and the unrotatable element 40 and the engaging member 21.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
