PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular steering device capable of suppressing the occurrence of an unexpected event caused by rotation of a steering member when performing an automatic operation by a new method.SOLUTION: In a vehicular steering device, a steering wheel (steering member) and a steering mechanism which are operated for steering are not mechanically connected, and the steering mechanism is driven by a steering motor. The vehicular steering device includes: a reaction motor 19 for applying reaction force to the steering wheel; and a reaction motor control section 70 for controlling the reaction motor 19. The reaction motor control section 70 includes a torque limiter 77 for limiting electric current flowing in the reaction motor 19 to a prescribed value or below when an automatic operation is performed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5

    【課題】新規な方法により、自動運転が行われている際に、操舵部材の回転によって予期せぬ事態が発生するのを抑制できる車両用操舵装置を提供する。【解決手段】この車両用操舵装置では、操向のために操作されるステアリングホイール(操舵部材)と舵取り機構とが機械的に結合されておらず、転舵モータによって舵取り機構が駆動される。車両用操舵装置は、ステアリングホイールに反力を与えるための反力モータ19と、反力モータ19を制御する反力モータ制御部70とを含む。反力モータ制御部70は、自動運転が行われているときには、反力モータ19に流れる電流を所定値以下に制限するトルクリミッタ77を含む。【選択図】図5
