PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cushioning stopper 1 capable of improving the cushioning performance without the excessive buffer strain as well as without the increased maximum compression displacement.SOLUTION: A cushioning stopper comprises: an annular stopper main body 11 attached to one 3 of two components which are relatively movable in an axial direction to oppose an edge face 21a formed on the other 2; and an annular buffer 12 integrally provided on the stopper main body 11. The buffer 12 includes: a proximal part 12a bonded to the stopper main body 11; a projection end part 12b extending on the edge face 21a side of the stopper main body 11 from the proximal part 12a; a padding part 12c formed on the circumference of the projection end part 12b having an external diameter larger than that of the proximal part 12a; and a notched part 12d formed on an outer peripheral surface of the proximal part 12a. The padding part 12c can be pressed contact onto a cylinder shape surface 22a formed on the other 2 of two components by diameter expansion deformation due to the axial compression of the projection end part 12b.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
