PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anti-theft security system for an outboard motor, which is excellent in usability and the like, and which can ensure high safety.SOLUTION: Authentication means 12 makes information on permission of engine start-up stored in outboard motor control means 9, and enables setting of the unlock state of permitting the engine start-up without authentication of ID information of an electronic key 14, and the child lock state of making the engine start-up permitted by a predetermined release operation without the need for the authentication of the ID information of the electronic key 14.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
