PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pedestrian detection device for a vehicle capable of quickly precisely predicting future position of a pedestrian after the pedestrian starts walking from a standstill state.SOLUTION: A pedestrian detection device (1) for a vehicle includes: a camera (2) for photographing the front of an own vehicle to generate an image; a pedestrian detector (4) for detecting a pedestrian who stands from an image; a trunk anteversion angle detector (6) for detecting a trunk maximum anteversion angle until the detected pedestrian sets a first step on the ground; and a future position predictor (10) for predicting the future position of the pedestrian when a predetermined time has elapsed after the first step is set on the ground on the basis of the detected maximum anteversion angle of the trunk.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6

    【課題】立ち止まり状態から歩き出した後の歩行者の将来位置を迅速に精度良く予測することができる、車両用歩行者検出装置を提供する。【解決手段】車両用歩行者検出装置(1)は、自車両の前方を撮像して画像を生成するカメラ(2)と、画像から立ち止まっている歩行者を検出する歩行者検出部(4)と、検出された歩行者が第1歩を着地するまでの体幹の最大前傾角度を検出する体幹前傾角度検出部(6)と、検出された体幹の最大前傾角度に基づき、第1歩の着地から所定時間経過したときの歩行者の将来位置を予測する将来位置予測部(10)とを有する。【選択図】図6
