PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for evaluating the stiffness of a tire tread with high accuracy.SOLUTION: A method for evaluating the stiffness of a tire tread includes: a preparation step (STEP10) of preparing a tire having a block sectioned by tread grooves; a position measurement step (STEP20) of measuring a tread surface position of the block of the tire and groove bottom positions of the grooves of the tire; and a stiffness evaluation step (STEP30) of calculating a deformation amount of the block. In the stiffness evaluation step, a reference virtual bottom surface position is calculated from a reference tread surface position of the block and reference groove bottom positions under a reference measurement condition. A virtual bottom surface position of the block under another measurement condition is calculated from the reference groove bottom positions, the reference virtual bottom surface position, and the groove bottom positions under the other measurement condition, and then the deformation amount of the block is calculated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3

    【課題】タイヤのトレッドの剛性を高精度に評価する方法の提供。【解決手段】本発明に係るタイヤのトレッドの剛性評価方法は、トレッドに溝で区画されたブロックを備えるタイヤが準備される準備工程(STEP10)と、このタイヤのブロックのトレッド面位置とこの溝の溝底位置とが測定される位置測定工程(STEP20)と、このブロックの変形量が計算される剛性評価工程とを備えている。この剛性評価工程(STEP30)において、基準測定条件におけるブロックの基準トレッド面位置と、基準溝底位置とから基準仮想底面位置が計算されている。この基準溝底位置及び基準仮想底面位置と、他の測定条件における溝底位置とから、他の測定条件におけるブロックの仮想底面位置が計算されて、ブロックの変形量が計算されている。【選択図】図3
