PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an arrangement positioning determination method of a spherical joint connecting exhaust pipes in an exhaust system, capable of effectively attenuating vibration of an engine, and provide the exhaust system.SOLUTION: A distortion gauge is attached to a plurality of places in an exhaust system 1, simulation vibration simulating vibration of an engine is added to an end part on an upstream side of the exhaust system 1, and flexural distortion is measured by each distortion gauge. On the basis of the flexural distortion measured by each distortion gauge, a position, at which flexural moment equal to or more than torque generating maximum static friction force is generated, is detected between a spherical inner peripheral surface 26 and a spherical outer peripheral surface 27, contacting with each other, of a spherical joint 2, and the detection position is determined as an arrangement position of the spherical joint 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
【課題】エンジンの振動をより効果的に減衰可能な、排気システムにおける排気管同士を連結する球面継手の配置位置決定方法および排気システムを提供する。【解決手段】排気システム1の複数箇所にひずみゲージを取り付けて、エンジンの振動を模した模擬振動を排気システム1の上流側の端部に加えて、各ひずみゲージで曲げひずみを測定する。そして、各ひずみゲージで測定された曲げひずみに基づいて、球面継手2の互いに接触する球面状の内周面26と球面状の外周面27との間に最大静止摩擦力を発生させるトルク以上の曲げモーメントが発生する位置を検出し、検出した位置を球面継手2の配置位置に決定する。【選択図】図4
