PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely realize a vehicle travel operation according to the intent of a driver of a vehicle.SOLUTION: A vehicle travel operation device 1 comprises an ultrasonic sensor 2, a determination part 12 and a control command output part 14. The ultrasonic sensor 2 detects the position of an operation foot 6 of a driver in a first position detection area A1 corresponding to brake control to the vehicle. The determination part 12 generates a brake control command in accordance with the stepping position of the operation foot detected by the ultrasonic sensor 2. The control command output part 14 outputs the brake control command generated by the determination part 12 to a brake mechanism 4.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】車両の運転者の意図に従った車両走行操作を確実に実現する。【解決手段】車両走行操作装置1は、超音波センサ2と、判断部12と、制御指令出力部14を備える。超音波センサ2は、車両に対する制動制御に対応する第1の位置検知領域A1における運転者の操作足6の位置を検知する。判断部12は超音波センサ2が検知した操作足の踏み込み位置に応じて制動制御指令を生成する。制御指令出力部14は、判断部12が生成した制動制御指令を、ブレーキ機構4に出力する。【選択図】図1
