PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flap monitoring device which can surely discriminate the opening/closing of a flap without installing sensors at a flap part.SOLUTION: A flap monitoring device 100 which monitors a flap 40 arranged at a vehicle body 1 comprises: imaging means 131 which images the vehicle body at a flap peripheral part; storage means 111 which holds data of a reference image which is obtained by imaging the vehicle body at the flap peripheral part in a state that the flap is closed; image processing means 112 which compares an image to be discriminated which is imaged by the imaging means and the reference image; and state discrimination means 110 which discriminates an opening/closing state of the flap when the image to be discriminated is imaged on the basis of a comparison result between the image to be discriminated imaged by the image processing means and the reference image.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
