PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a method for determining a rapid deceleration accurately from a small amount of sensor information.SOLUTION: A rapid deceleration determination method includes: a GPS speed obtaining step of obtaining a speed of a mobile body on the basis of GPS reception information; an acceleration obtaining step of obtaining composite acceleration of a three-axis acceleration sensor; a travel direction obtaining step of obtaining a travel direction of the mobile body on the basis of the GPS reception information; and a rapid deceleration determination step of determining occurrence of rapid deceleration of the mobile body on the basis of the speed, the composite acceleration and the travel direction.
