PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem associated with obtaining plural clock times at which a vehicle traveling on a road has started after waiting for a traffic signal and estimating a signal cycle length of a traffic signal installed at an intersection on the basis of a difference in the aforementioned start clock times, the problem where as a traffic volume at an intersection decreases, the case of no vehicle waiting for a signal when the traffic light changes to red appearing increases, causing the chances of obtaining start clock times and making it impossible to estimate a signal cycle length accurately.SOLUTION: In a case where a traffic volume is small at an intersection, a relationship between "start clock time" and "the number of start clock times obtained" is defined as a function (a start interval function), an auto-correlation function is applied to the start interval function to obtain a cycle of the start interval function, and the cycle is estimated as a signal cycle length.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
【課題】路上を走行する車両が信号待ちの後、発進した時刻を複数取得し、それら発進時刻の差分に基づいて交差点に設置された信号機の信号サイクル長を推定する場合、交差点の交通量が少なければ、信号機の表示が赤色になっても信号待ちをする車両が現れない場合が増加するので発進時刻を取得できる機会が減少し、以て、信号サイクル長を精度良く推定することができなくなる。【解決手段】交差点の交通量が少ない場合、「発進時刻」と「発進時刻が取得された数」との関係を関数(発進間隔関数)と捉え、その発進間隔関数に対して自己相関関数を適用することによって発進間隔関数の周期を取得し、その周期を信号サイクル長として推定する。【選択図】図2
