PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotation transmission device in which a roller located at an engagement release position hardly causes erroneous engagement.SOLUTION: A rotation transmission device has: a cylinder face 13 formed at an internal periphery of an outer ring 2; a cam face 12 formed at an external periphery of an inner ring 3; a pair of rollers 4a, 4b which are oppositely assembled between the cylinder face 13 and the cam face 12 in a circumferential direction; a roller separation spring 14 which energizes the pair of rollers 4a, 4b; a first roller cage 5a which holds one rollers 4a; a second roller cage 5b which holds the other roller 4b; and a cage actuator 6 which relatively moves the first roller cage 5a and the second roller cage 5b so that the rollers 4a, 4b move between an engagement position and an engagement release position. The cam face 12 is formed so that an angle θ of a portion Pcontacting with the rollers 4a, 4b at the engagement release position becomes smaller than an angle (θ+β) of a portion Pcontacting with the rollers 4a, 4b at the engagement position .SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
