PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle shock absorption structure capable of stably absorbing energy during a collision of a vehicle.SOLUTION: Ribs 50 and 52 are formed on wall surfaces of a cylindrical main body section 14A of a crash box 14. The ribs 50 and 52 are formed to be elongated over the axial entire length of the main body section 14A only along the axial direction of the main body section 14A, while ribs other than the ribs 50 and 52 are not formed on the wall surface of the main body section 14A. The ribs 50 are formed on outer wall surfaces of a top wall 20, a bottom wall 22, a pair of right and left sidewall upper portions 26 and a pair of right and left sidewall lower portions 28, respectively, while the ribs 52 are formed on inner wall surfaces of the top wall 20 and the bottom wall 22, respectively. The ribs 50 and 52 are set to be gradually longer in the protrusion direction from a bumper-reinforcement-side end portion to a front-side-member-side end portion.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】車両衝突時のエネルギーを安定的に吸収することができる自動車の衝撃吸収構造を得る。【解決手段】クラッシュボックス14の筒状の本体部14Aの壁面にはリブ50、52が形成されている。リブ50、52は、本体部14Aの軸方向の全長に亘ってかつ本体部14Aの軸方向のみに沿って長尺状に形成されており、リブ50、52以外のリブは本体部14Aの壁面に形成されていない。リブ50は、天壁20、底壁22、左右一対の側壁上部26、及び左右一対の側壁下部28の各々の外壁面に形成され、リブ52は、天壁20及び底壁22の各々の内壁面に形成されている。また、リブ50、52は、バンパリインフォースの側の端部からフロントサイドメンバの側の端部へ向けて突出方向の長さが徐々に長くなるように設定されている。【選択図】図2
