PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a first split shaft from contacting the ground when an impact load is applied to, with respect to a vehicular power transmission device whose propeller shaft is split to a first, a second, and a third split shafts, as well as, when a shock absorption mechanism is provided at the back side of the first split shaft, to transmit the input load applied to the first split shaft to the shock absorption mechanism.SOLUTION: The vehicular power transmission device includes: a first support bracket 50 provided for supporting a second split shaft 22 to a vehicle body 1, and allowing a universal joint 33 coupling a first split shaft 21 and the second split shaft 22 to penetrate toward the back of the vehicle without being separated from the vehicle body 1 at the time when an impact load is applied; and a second support bracket 60 provided at the back thereof for supporting the second split shaft 22 to the vehicle body 1, and for being separated from the vehicle body 1 by a load inputted to the second split shaft 22 when an impact load is applied.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】プロペラシャフトが第1、第2及び第3分割シャフトに分割された車両の動力伝達装置において、衝撃荷重の作用時に、第1分割シャフトが地面に接触することを抑制すると共に、第1分割シャフトの後方側に衝撃吸収機構が備えられる場合に第1分割シャフトへの入力荷重を前記衝撃吸収機構に伝達する。【解決手段】車両の動力伝達装置は、第2分割シャフト22を車体1に支持し、衝撃荷重の作用時に、車体1から離脱することなく第1分割シャフト21と第2分割シャフト22とを連結する自在継手33が車体後方に貫通するように設けられた第1支持ブラケット50と、その後方で第2分割シャフト22を車体1に支持し、衝撃荷重の作用時に、第2分割シャフト22に入力された荷重によって車体1から離脱するように設けられた第2支持ブラケット60とを備えている。【選択図】図1
