PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine hood structure for automobile capable of achieving both of securing hinge support rigidity of an engine hood and preventing a rear part of the engine hood from retreating in front collision of a vehicle.SOLUTION: A ridge-folding starting point 52 is provided in a portion between a lock part 50 and a hinge reinforcement 40 of an engine hood inner panel 26, for facilitating upward bending. A reinforcement 33 that extends in a vehicle width direction and deforms downward by input load higher than bearing force in a vehicle longitudinal direction and a front end of the hinge reinforcement 40 are provided by being arranged in the vehicle width direction, in a further backward portion than the ridge-folding starting point 52.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6

    【課題】ボンネットのヒンジ支持剛性の確保と、車両前突時におけるボンネット後部の後退防止とを両立することができる自動車のボンネット構造の提供を目的とする。【解決手段】ボンネットインナパネル26のロック部50とヒンジレインフォースメント40との間の部位に、上方への屈曲を促進する山折れ起点52が設けられ、山折れ起点52よりも後方の部位に、車幅方向に延びて車両前後方向の耐力以上の入力荷重で下向きに変形する補強部33と、ヒンジレインフォースメント40前端とが車幅方向に並んで設けられたことを特徴とする。【選択図】図6
