PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for suppressing the reduction of detection accuracy for the detection of a target in a vehicle.SOLUTION: A target detector (3) is mounted in an own vehicle and detects a predetermined target between a radio wave reception side and a radio wave transmission side. Transmission means (31), which is the radio wave transmission side, transmits a radio wave at a predetermined frequency. Receiving means (12), which is the radio wave reception side, receives the radio wave transmitted from the transmission means. Detection means (50) detects the target at a position within the own vehicle at which the radio wave transmitted from the transmission means to the receiving means is blocked on the basis of the difference between the intensity of the radio wave transmitted from the transmission means and the intensity of the radio wave received by the receiving means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
