PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve impact energy absorption performance to a side face collision load.SOLUTION: When a side face collision load F is applied, first a left side frame 14 is collapsed, and following to collapse of the left side frame 14, a bent part 22 of a cross member 16 which is bent in a crank-shape is buckled in a Z-shape, thereby excellent impact energy absorption performance is obtained by deformation of them. Especially, collapse of the left side frame 14 and buckling of the cross member 16 are different each other in a deformation state, so that, by adjusting (tuning) deformation intensity of them, the impact energy can be efficiently absorbed with a relatively short deformation stroke.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3

    【課題】側面衝突荷重に対する衝撃エネルギー吸収性能を向上させる。【解決手段】側面衝突荷重Fが加えられた場合に、先ず左サイドフレーム14が圧壊させられるとともに、その左サイドフレーム14の圧壊に続いて、クランク状に曲げられたクロスメンバー16の屈曲部22がZ字形に座屈させられるため、それ等の変形により優れた衝撃エネルギー吸収性能が得られる。特に、左サイドフレーム14の圧壊およびクロスメンバー16の座屈は、変形形態が異なるため、それ等の変形強度を調整(チューニング)することにより、比較的短い変形ストロークで衝撃エネルギーを効率的に吸収できるようになる。【選択図】図3
