PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change an image which is transmitted to a display-incorporated room mirror while keeping a position and a posture of an on-vehicle camera in a fixed state, in a vehicle periphery recognition support system.SOLUTION: A vehicle periphery recognition support system comprises: an on-vehicle camera 16; a display-incorporated room mirror 20; a posture variable part 30 which can change a posture of the display-incorporated room mirror 20 to a posture between a normal posture and an inclined posture which is downwardly inclined rather than the normal posture; a posture detection part 40 which detects a posture state of the display-incorporated room mirror 20; and an indication range image forming part which forms images in different ranges out of imaged images as indication range images 62, 64 according to a difference of states of postures of the display-incorporated room mirror 20 with an image in a range which is obtained by imaging a scene within an imaging angle by the on-vehicle camera 16 as the imaged image 60, and transmits the images to a display 26.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】車両周辺認知支援システムにおいて、車載用カメラの位置や姿勢を固定したままディスプレイ内蔵ルームミラーに伝送されてくる画像を変更できるようにすることである。【解決手段】車両周辺認知支援システムは、車載用カメラ16と、ディスプレイ内蔵ルームミラー20と、ディスプレイ内蔵ルームミラー20の姿勢を、通常姿勢と通常姿勢よりも下向きに傾斜する傾斜姿勢との間で変更できる姿勢可変部30と、ディスプレイ内蔵ルームミラー20の姿勢状態を検出する姿勢検出部40と、車載用カメラ16が撮像画角内の情景を撮像した範囲の画像を撮像画像60として、ディスプレイ内蔵ルームミラー20の姿勢の状態の相違に応じて撮像画像のうちで異なる範囲の画像を表示範囲画像62,64として形成し、ディスプレイ26に伝送する表示範囲画像形成部とを備える。【選択図】図1
