PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a knee bolster capable of stably absorbing impact applied on a knee, and suppressing lateral falling.SOLUTION: A knee bolster is deformed by the input of a load from a knee of an occupant, and made from a blow molded body absorbing impact on the knee. The blow molded body is equipped with a load input surface on which the load in inputted, a back surface opposite to the load input surface, and a right side surface and a left side surface provided between the load input surface and the back surface. One or more lateral groove ribs are provided on the right side surface and the left side surface. At least one of the lateral groove ribs has a side wall formed to be generally parallel with an input direction of the load, and a stepped portion is provided at an end portion or in a midway of the lateral groove rib.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5

    【課題】膝に加わる衝撃を安定して吸収することができ且つ横倒れが抑制される、ニーボルスターを提供する。【解決手段】本発明によれば、乗員の膝からの荷重の入力によって変形し、前記膝への衝撃を吸収するブロー成形体からなるニーボルスターであって、前記ブロー成形体は、前記荷重が入力される荷重入力面と、前記荷重入力面に対向する背面と、前記荷重入力面と前記背面の間に設けられる右側面及び左側面を備え、且つ前記右側面及び前記左側面に1又は複数の横溝リブを有し、前記横溝リブの少なくとも1つは、その側壁が前記荷重の入力方向に略平行になるように形成されており、且つ前記横溝リブの端部又は途中に段差が設けられるように構成される、ニーボルスターが提供される。【選択図】図5
