PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a liquid surface level of fuel and residual fuel quantity in a vehicular fuel tank at a low cost.SOLUTION: A residual fuel quantity detection device for a fuel tank 14 has float type liquid surface detecting means 84 for detecting a liquid surface level of fuel in the fuel tank 14 on the basis of rotations of an arm 106 to which a float 82 is attached; thermistor type liquid surface detecting means 88 for detecting the liquid surface level on the basis of changes in a resistance value of a thermistor 86; and a residual fuel quantity detecting means for detecting residual fuel quantity in the fuel tank 14 on the basis of each detection result. The thermistor 86 is attached to a tip end side of the arm 106 than the float 82.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
