PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel tank that can prevent fuel leakage even if deformed due to collision with rock fall, etc. and can be reduced in the weight without causing drastic change and increase of design and construction.SOLUTION: In a vehicular fuel tank 30 formed of a steel plate and suspended under the floor of a vehicle by a mounting frame and a fastening band, a coating material formed by adding predetermined amount of a non-halogen amino phosphoric acid flame retarder to a mixture of polyurethane resin and polyurea resin is applied to a predetermined portion of an outer surface so as to form predetermined film thickness. The predetermined portion is a portion of the outer surface excluding portions with which the mounting frame and the fastening band come contact, and is located in a range excluding the upper surface of the tank and a portion within 300 mm from the underfloor surface of the side surface of the tank.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4

    【課題】落石等との衝突で変形した場合でも燃料漏れを起こすのを防止することができるとともに、大幅な設計や施工の変更、増加を招くことなく軽量化を図ることができる燃料タンクを実現する。【解決手段】鋼板で形成され車両の床下に取付け枠および締付けバンドにより吊設される車両用燃料タンク30において、外表面の所定部位に、ポリウレタン樹脂とポリウレア樹脂とを混合したものに非ハロゲン系アミノリン酸難燃剤を所定量添加してなる塗料が、所定の膜厚となるように塗布した。前記所定部位は、外表面のうち、前記取付け枠および締付けバンドが接する部分を除いた部位であって、当該タンクの上面と当該タンクの側面のうち床下面より300mm以内の部分とを除いた範囲とする。【選択図】図4
