PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively provide a bearing unit with an encoder, which prevents the encoder from being broken during transportation and which prevents erroneous assembly to a knuckle.SOLUTION: A bearing unit with an encoder includes a linked ring 20 which is pressed into inner peripheral surfaces of mutually opposed ends of a pair of inner rings 3a and 3b to prevent separation of the pair of inner rings 3a and 3b. A protective cover 21, which comprises a disk-shaped flat plate part 23, a cylindrical part 22 extended in an axial direction from each side surface of the flat plate part 23, and a knob part 24, is locked to the linked ring 20 in the state of covering a surface of the encoder 9.

    【課題】輸送時に於けるエンコーダの破損を防止すると共に、ナックルへの組み付け誤りを防止したエンコーダ付軸受ユニットを、安価に実現する。【解決手段】1対の内輪3a,3bの互いに対向する端部の内周面に圧入されて、1対の内輪3a,3bの分離を防止する連結環20を備えている。円板状の平板部23と、平板部23の各側面からそれぞれ軸方向に延出する円筒部22と、取っ手部24とを備えた保護カバー21が、エンコーダ9の表面を覆った状態で、連結環20に係止されている。【選択図】図1
