Disclosed is a wheel bearing having an encoder mounted thereon. The wheel bearing having an encoder mounted thereon comprises: a first wheel coupled to a rotating object; an encoder integrally mounted on the first wheel to be able to rotate; a second wheel inserted into the first wheel and arranged with a gap in a radial direction to form a separation space, and connected and fixed to a non-rotating object; a seal mounted to be fixed to the second wheel and sealing the separation space; and a rolling element interposed between the first wheel and the second wheel to rotate relatively. The encoder includes: a mounting ring mounted by being inserted into the outer circumference surface facing outward in the radial direction of the first wheel; and a magnetic encoder integrally attached to the mounting ring to be able to rotate. The mounting ring includes: a cylinder part indented by the outer circumference surface of the first wheel; a blocking part vertically folded from the inner fore-end in the axial direction of the cylinder part toward the inside in the radial direction; and an extension part extending from the inner fore-end in the radial direction of the blocking part toward the outside in the axial direction. The magnetic encoder is inserted into an inner space formed by the cylinder part, the blocking part and the extension part of the mounting ring to improve encoder protection.
