PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal combustion engine control unit capable of suppressing a degradation in the heat efficiency of an internal combustion engine to accompany the switchover of combustion modes and suppressing a response delay at a time of the switchover of the combustion modes.SOLUTION: A control unit of the present invention is applied to an internal combustion engine whose combustion modes can be switched over between a lean combustion mode and a stoichiometric combustion mode, changes an air-fuel ratio step by step by changing a fuel injection quantity and switches the combustion modes if an operating point of the internal combustion engine crosses switch lines La and Lb defined by an engine revolving speed and an engine torque of the internal combustion engine. The switch lines La and Lb are set on the basis of a predetermined intake air quantity that enables heat efficiency of the internal combustion engine to be maintained before and after the switchover of the combustion modes. A fluctuation in the engine torque to accompany the switchover of combustion modes is suppressed by a regenerative control of a second motor-generator.
【課題】燃焼モードの切り替えに伴う内燃機関の熱効率の悪化を抑制できるとともに、燃焼モードの切り替え時の応答遅れを抑制できる内燃機関の制御装置を提供する。【解決手段】本制御装置はリーン燃焼とストイキ燃焼との間で燃焼モードを切り替え可能な内燃機関に適用され、内燃機関のエンジン回転数とエンジントルクとで定義された切り替えラインLa、Lbを内燃機関の動作点が横切った場合に燃料噴射量の変更により空燃比をステップ的に変化させて燃焼モードを切り替える。切り替えラインLa、Lbは、燃焼モードの切り替え前後で内燃機関の熱効率を維持可能な所定吸入空気量に基づいて設定されている。燃焼モードの切り替えに伴うエンジントルクの変動は第2モータ・ジェネレータの回生制御により抑制する。【選択図】図2
