PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shift to a four-wheel-drive state reliably in a case where a main drive wheel is slipping when there is a request for engaging a meshing-clutch.SOLUTION: In a clutch control apparatus for a four-wheel-drive vehicle incorporating an electrical-controlled coupling 12 and a dog clutch 17 in a drive force transmission system to left-right rear wheels 20, 21, a 4-WD control unit 34 is disposed for engagement-release control of both the electrical-controlled coupling 12 and dog clutch 17. In the apparatus, the 4-WD control unit 34 further performs: engagement control of the electrical-controlled coupling 12 first when there is a request for engaging the dog clutch 17 in a release state; and reducing engagement torque of the electrical-controlled coupling 12 in a case where a differential clutch rotation speed ΔN of the dog clutch 17 decreases while performing the engagement control of the electrical-controlled coupling 12, with the differential clutch rotation speed ΔN determined to be lower than a differential rotation speed range (α≥ΔN≥-α) of a rotational synchronization determination.

    【課題】噛み合いクラッチの締結要求時、主駆動輪がスリップ状態である場合、確実に4輪駆動状態へ遷移すること。【解決手段】左右前輪20,21への駆動力伝達系に、電制カップリング12とドグクラッチ17を備え、4WDコントロールユニット34により電制カップリング12の締結/解放制御とドグクラッチ17の締結/解放制御を行う。この4輪駆動車のクラッチ制御装置において、4WDコントロールユニット34は、解放状態のドグクラッチ17に対し締結要求があると、先に電制カップリング12の締結制御を行い、電制カップリング12の締結制御中にドグクラッチ17のクラッチ差回転ΔNが減少し、クラッチ差回転ΔNが回転同期判定の差回転範囲(α≧ΔN≧−α)を下回ったと判定されると、電制カップリング12の締結トルクを低下させる。【選択図】図5
