PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for the tire rim cushion or gum finishing which is excellent in low heat generation properties and ozone resistance when molded to a tire and a pneumatic tire using the rubber composition.SOLUTION: A rubber composition for tire rim cushion or gum finishing comprises a diene rubber and carbon black, and the diene rubber contains natural rubber and a modified polymer obtained by reacting the double bonds of a conjugated diene polymer with a nitrone compound. The content of natural rubber in the diene rubber is 30-60 mass%; the content of the modified polymer in the diene rubber is 8-70 mass%; the content of carbon black is 67-90 pts. mass to 100 pts. mass of the diene rubber; and the nitrogen adsorption specific surface area of carbon black is 60-150 m/g.

    【課題】タイヤにしたときに低発熱性および耐オゾン性に優れるタイヤリムクッションまたはガムフィニッシング用ゴム組成物、および、上記ゴム組成物を使用した空気入りタイヤを提供する。【解決手段】ジエン系ゴムと、カーボンブラックとを含有し、上記ジエン系ゴムが、天然ゴムと、共役ジエン重合体の二重結合に対してニトロン化合物を反応させることで得られる変性ポリマーとを含み、上記ジエン系ゴム中の上記天然ゴムの含有量が30〜60質量%であり、上記ジエン系ゴム中の上記変性ポリマーの含有量が8〜70質量%であり、上記カーボンブラックの含有量が、上記ジエン系ゴム100質量部に対して67〜90質量部であり、上記カーボンブラックの窒素吸着比表面積が、60〜150m2/gである、タイヤリムクッションまたはガムフィニッシング用ゴム組成物。【選択図】なし
