PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radar system capable of precisely determining an upper object relevant to a target data.SOLUTION: A radar system 1 includes: a target data detection section 71 that detects a target data relevant to a target based on a received signal which is acquired by receiving a reflection wave RW from the target at a constant period of time; a wall detection section 72a that detects a side wall along a travel-lane on which own vehicle is travelling based on the target data; a continuity determination section 72b that determines the continuity between a previous target data and the latest target data, and when determining no continuity, carries out an "extrapolation"; and an upper object determination section 72c that determines whether or not the target relevant to the target data is an upper object based on the frequency of "extrapolation". The continuity determination section 72b carries out "extrapolation" when the target relevant to the latest target data, which is determined the continuity with the previous target data relevant to stationary object in the travel lane, is included in a range of the side wall. With this, the target relevant to the target data is capable of precisely determined as the upper object.

    【課題】物標データに係る物標が上方物であることを高精度に判定する。【解決手段】レーダ装置1では、物標データ導出部71が、物標からの反射波RWを受信して得られる受信信号に基づいて物標に係る物標データを一定時間ごとに導出する。壁検出部72aは、物標データに基づいて自車両が走行する自車線に沿った側壁を検出する。連続性判定部72bは、過去の物標データと直近の物標データとの連続性を判定し、連続性があると判定できない場合に「外挿」を行う。上方物判定部72cは「外挿」の頻度に基づいて物標データに係る物標が上方物か否かを判定する。そして、連続性判定部72bは、自車線内の静止物に係る過去の物標データと連続性があると判定した直近の物標データに係る物標が側壁の範囲に含まれる場合は「外挿」を行う。これにより、物標データに係る物標が上方物であると高精度に判定できる。【選択図】図2
