PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for accurately detecting a target present in a traffic lane of the vehicle.SOLUTION: When, among detected targets, a first target and a second target whose longitudinal distance to the vehicle is larger than the first target have a prescribed relation, a radar device makes the second target an object not outputted to a control device. The radar device also determines whether a target exists in the traffic lane of the vehicle, and determines whether the target is carrying out a change of traffic lanes. Further, when the first target is carrying out the change of traffic lanes from the traffic lane of the vehicle, the radar device makes the second target having the prescribed relation an object outputted to the control device. Thus, the radar device can accurately determine whether the target is an object outputted to the control device, and can reliably output, to the control device, the target that is the object to be outputted.
【課題】自車線内に存在する物標を正確に検出する技術を提供する。【解決手段】検出された物標のうち第1物標と第1物標より自車両に対する縦距離が大きい第2物標とが所定の関係を有する場合に、レーダ装置は第2物標を制御装置への出力非対象とする。またレーダ装置は、物標が自車線内に存在するか否かを判定し、物標が車線変更を実施しているか否かを判定する。さらにレーダ装置は、第1物標が自車線内から車線変更を実施している場合は、所定の関係を有する第2物標を制御装置への出力対象とする。これによりレーダ装置は、物標が制御装置への出力対象か否かを正確に判定でき、出力対象の物標を確実に制御装置に出力できる。【選択図】図9
