PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent increase of a size and a cost of manufacture of an electric winch apparatus for a crane.SOLUTION: An electric winch apparatus includes: an electric motor 14 which rotates a drum 12 in a winding-up direction when an object 102 is wound-yp, and generates a regenerative electric power by transmission of a turning force of the drum 12 in a winding-down direction during free falling of the object 102; a clutch 17 which is so configured to be capable of changing a transmission rate of the turning force of the drum 12 to the electric motor 14 side during free falling; a power calculation part 42 for calculating a power due to free falling of the object 102; and a control part 46 which controls an action for changing the transmission rate by the clutch 17. When the power calculated by the power calculation part 42 exceeds over a reference electric power which is set according to an allowable electric power of the electric motor 14, the control part 46 so controls that the clutch 17 changes the transmission rate of the turning force of the drum 12 to the electric motor 14 side into a transmission rate such that the regenerative electric power generated by the electric motor 14 is equal to or lower than the reference electric power.

    【課題】クレーンの電動ウインチ装置の大型化及び製造コストの増大を防止する。【解決手段】電動ウインチ装置は、対象物102の巻上時にドラム12を巻上方向に回転させる一方、対象物102のフリーフォール時のドラム12の巻下方向への回転力が伝達されることにより回生電力を生成する電動機14と、フリーフォール時のドラム12の回転力の電動機14側への伝達率を変更可能に構成されたクラッチ17と、対象物102のフリーフォールによる仕事率を算出する仕事率算出部42と、クラッチ17の前記伝達率の変更のための動作を制御する制御部46とを備え、制御部46は、仕事率算出部42によって算出される仕事率が電動機14の許容電力に応じて設定された基準電力を超えている場合には、クラッチ17に電動機14側へのドラム12の回転力の伝達率を電動機14が生成する回生電力が基準電力以下になるような伝達率に変更させる。【選択図】図2
