PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance side-cut resistance of a pneumatic radial tire for a heavy load.SOLUTION: In a pneumatic radial tire 10 for a heavy load, a thickness AW1 on the tire mounting outside is set 1.2-3.0 times greater than a thickness AW2 on the tire mounting inside, in a side line part 14A in a position of a side part 14 corresponding to a point D1 on the outermost side in a tire width direction of a carcass body part 18A in the unloaded condition of being assembled to a normal rim and filled with normal internal pressure.
