PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent excessive torque being applied to an SOWC due to a response delay when heavy braking is applied.SOLUTION: If a rapid change in rotational speed of an output member is detected when an SOWC is engaged, causing the output member to output torque, a differential rotation of the SOWC is controlled toward a negative rotational direction using a motor and the SOWC is operated toward a released state using a switching operation mechanism (step S5).

    【課題】急制動時に応答遅れなどによってSOWCに過大なトルクが作用することを防止する。【解決手段】SOWCが係合状態になって出力部材からトルクを出力している際に出力部材の回転速度の急変が検出されることにより、SOWCの差回転をモータによって負回転方向に制御し、かつ切替動作機構によってSOWCを解放状態に動作させる(ステップS5)ように構成されている。【選択図】図1
