PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid insecurity that an own vehicle collides to a preceding vehicle by predicting stop of the preceding vehicle.SOLUTION: A navigation device 100 which is electronic equipment comprises: an imaging device 201; a sensor 202; a detection part 102; a vehicle speed sensor 103; a GPS unit 104; and control means 105, monitors positions and speeds of the preceding vehicle and own vehicle, and calculates current speed of the preceding vehicle, distance toward an intersection where there is a signal in a front direction of a progress direction of the own vehicle and preceding vehicle and changeover timing of the signal, based on traffic signal information received by a signal reception part 101. The control means 105 predicts whether the preceding vehicle can stop at a stop line position in front of the intersection without sudden brake when the signal becomes a red display state, at the time when receiving signal information, or when the signal becomes a yellow display state. When the control part 105 predicts that the preceding vehicle cannot stop without sudden brake, the control part issues an alarm for preventing rear-end collision by a display part 109 and voice output device 203.
【課題】先行車の停止を予測することで、自車が先行車に追突する危険性を回避する。【解決手段】電子機器であるナビゲーション装置100は、撮像装置201、センサ202、検出部102、車速センサ103、GPSユニット104、制御手段105により先行車及び自車の位置と速度を監視すると共に、信号受信部101で受信した交通信号情報に基づいて先行車の現時点の速度と自車及び先行車の進行方向前方の信号機のある交差点までの距離と信号の切り替わりタイミングとを算出する。制御手段105は、信号機が赤表示に切り替わる時に先行車が交差点の手前の停止線位置で急ブレーキなしで停止できるか否かを信号機情報を受信した時点、及び、信号機が黄表示になった時点で予測する。制御部105は急ブレーキなしで停止できないと予測した時は、表示部109、音声出力装置203により追突防止のための警告を発する。【選択図】図1
