PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a satellite tracking antenna system and a satellite tracking antenna control method which permits precise satellite tracking control even in the rolling to be supposed on a small ship.SOLUTION: A satellite tracking antenna system includes a gimbal platform constituted with a plurality of gimbal shafts and a satellite tracking antenna mounted on the platform. Therein, an interference compensation means which calculates an interference component generated by movement of other all gimbal shafts with respect to respective gimbal shafts by using rotation angles and rotation angular speeds of the plurality of gimbal shafts and physical characteristics of constitutional objects which are known and a control means which generates a control torque so as to cancel the interference component with respect to respective gimbal shafts and performs control of the respective gimbal shafts are provided.
