PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a train radio system in which it is not necessary to arrange base stations to enable hand-over in the range of a train length, thereby reducing the number of base stations in a route.SOLUTION: A train radio system includes: on-vehicle devices 61a and 61b having train control parts 63a and 63b for performing creation of position information and control of a train speed, and storing on-vehicle databases 650a and 650b, and radio communication parts 62a and 62b for transmitting the position information from the train control parts 63a and 63b from antennas 69a and 69b; radio base stations that communicate with the on-vehicle devices 61a and 61b; and a ground control device for controlling an operation of the train based on the position information received through the radio base stations. The on-vehicle databases 650a and 650b include a train length and the positions of the antennas 69a and 69b. The radio communication parts 62a and 62b switch the radio base stations when the positions of the antennas 69a and 69b are beyond a hand-over point on the on-vehicle databases 650a and 650b.
