PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shift the gear ratio of a continuously variable transmission to a low side without the occurrence of time delay and to prevent starting rearward at a high gear ratio at a time of starting rearward in an electric travel mode.SOLUTION: If an operation for selecting a rear travel range is detected, then a vehicle is driven rearward with an electric motor set into a reverse drive state in a rearward direction, an engine is started to set a continuously variable transmission into a state in which a gear ratio can be shifted during traveling rearward, a connection/disconnection element of a sub-transmission is released to shift the gear ratio of the continuously variable transmission to a predetermined gear ratio for starting rearward, and the connection/disconnection element is engaged after completion of gear shift.

    【課題】電気走行モードでの後退発進時に、時間遅れの発生なしに無段変速機をロー側へ変速させて、後退時のハイ発進を防止する。【解決手段】後退走行レンジへのセレクト操作が検知された時、電動モータを後退方向逆転駆動状態として車両を後退させ、後退走行中にエンジンを始動させて無段変速機を変速可能状態とし、副変速機の断接要素を解放して無段変速機の変速比を後退発進用の所定変速比に変速し、変速完了後に断接要素を締結させる。【選択図】図3
