PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pedal reaction force generator, a control method of the pedal reaction force generator, and a program which can prevent erroneous detection due to the motion of an accelerator pedal in self-diagnosis.SOLUTION: A pedal reaction force generator comprises: a first monitoring circuit for detecting a voltage generated at a junction of a first switching element and a motor; a second monitoring circuit for detecting a voltage generated at a junction of a second switching element and the motor; a precharge circuit which applies a failure detection signal to each of drive circuits that drive the first switching element and the second switching element, and is connected between a current detection circuit and the motor; and a control part for detecting failures of the drive circuits from an output state of the precharge circuit and the signals detected by the first monitoring circuit and the second monitoring circuit when a power supply is turned on. When the signal detected by the first monitoring circuit is at a low level and the signal detected by the second monitoring circuit is at a high level, the control part determines that the motor is rotated by an external force and detects failures again after a predetermined period of time.

    【課題】自己診断におけるアクセルペダルの動きによる誤検知を防止することができるペダル反力発生装置、ペダル反力発生装置の制御方法、及びプログラムを提供することを目的とする。【解決手段】ペダル反力発生装置は、第1スイッチング素子とモータの接続点に発生する電圧を検出する第1監視回路、第2スイッチング素子とモータの接続点に発生する電圧を検出する第2監視回路、第1スイッチング素子及び第2スイッチング素子を駆動するそれぞれの駆動回路に故障検出信号を付与し、電流検出回路とモータとの間に接続されたプリチャージ回路、電源投入時にプリチャージ回路の出力状態と第1監視回路及び第2監視回路が各々検出した信号から駆動回路の故障を検出する制御部を備え、制御部は第1監視回路が検出した信号がローレベル、第2監視回路が検出した信号がハイレベルの場合、モータが外力によって回されていると判断し所定の時間後に再度故障を検出する。【選択図】図2
