PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery cooling device which prevents intrusion of foreign objects without providing a filter at an exhaust port even when air at the exterior of a vehicle cabin is supplied to a battery.SOLUTION: A battery cooling device includes: a foreign object detection sensor 19 that detects foreign objects near an exhaust port 17b of a battery 10; a blower fan 15 which suctions air from an intake port 10a into the battery 10, circulates the air in the battery 10, and exhausts the air from the exhaust port 17b; and an ECU 21 which operates the blower fan 15 and removes the foreign objects near the exhaust port 17b by the air exhausted from the exhaust port 17b when the foreign object detection sensor 19 detects the foreign objects.
