PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reinforcement member for a tire which has an excellent durability and can achieve weight saving of the tire.SOLUTION: A reinforcement member for a tire is equipped with a base material 2 including plural wires 4 which are so disposed as to extend in a specified direction at intervals. The base material 2 include plural polygonal portions 5 which are two-dimensionally repeatedly formed. Each polygonal portion 5 is defined by a joint part 6 and a single line part 7. Each joint part 6 is formed by twisting and joining wires with each other twice or more, which are disposed adjacent to each other, among the wires 4. Each single line part 7 is one of the wires 4 constituting the joint part 6.
