PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device which can detect that a tire is in an abrasion state while suppressing increase in cost without providing a special sensor, and notify a driver of the need of tire change to prevent an accident due to travel in an unsafe state.SOLUTION: An abrasion loss detection device of an automobile tire includes a rotation sensor 2 which detects rotation of a wheel 1, a signal processing unit 3 which extracts variation in rotation speed synchronized with the rotation from a rotation signal detected by the rotation sensor and extracts a rotation speed variation pattern synchronized with the rotation over plural times of rotation from the variation in the rotation speed, and an abrasion state determination unit 4 which obtains a value of a component induced by a feature structure indicating the abrasion state provided in a tire 1a of the wheel 1 from the extracted rotation speed variation pattern and estimates the abrasion state of the tire on the basis of the obtained value to output it.

    【課題】 特殊なセンサを設けることなく、コストの増加を抑えながら、タイヤが摩耗した状態にあることを走行中に検出でき、運転者にタイヤ交換が必要なことを知らせることを可能にして、不安全な状態での走行による事故を未然に防ぐことができる装置を提供する。【解決手段】 車輪1の回転を検出する回転センサ2と、この回転センサの検出した回転信号から回転に同期した回転速度の変動を抽出し、この回転速度の変動から複数回転に渡る回転に同期した回転速度変動パターンを抽出する信号処理ユニット3とを設ける。この抽出した回転速度変動パターンから、前記車輪1のタイヤ1aに設けられている摩耗状態を示す特徴構造によって誘起される成分の値を求め、その求めた値に基づいて前記タイヤの摩耗状態を推定し出力する摩耗状態判断ユニット4を設ける。【選択図】 図1
