A device comprising a push-pull solenoid actuator 1 and two stadium shaped units. Masses 5 are attached to the stadium shaped units 6. A striker 3 pushes the masses 5 on belts 6, causing the rotatable devices 9, 10 to rotate in opposite directions, driven by the belts 6. Battery 8 supplies power to the solenoid actuator 1, sensor 7 controls when the power is applied. As the belts 6 turn, striker 3 is retracted by spring 4, causing the device to move forwards. The electric motors are used as both rotatable devices and generators, and A regenerative braking system could also be used. The propulsion means has a number of uses including the propulsion of space craft.
